What photos should you take before and after a job?

A short checklist you can run through on any job, whatever the trade.

Before you start

Wide shots of the whole room or area. Close ups of existing damage. Anything valuable or fragile nearby. Access routes and floor coverings. Meter readings or existing installations where relevant.

During the work

Anything that will be hidden afterwards, anything that turned out differently to expected, and anything the customer asked you to change once work had started.

When you finish

Repeat the wide shots from the same angles as your before photos, then close ups of the finished work and the area left clean and tidy.

Everything about the job. All in one place.

PROVETHEJOB keeps photos, notes, voice recordings and job records together, job by job.
